Our American Baptist Relationships
As an American Baptist Church, we voluntarily associate with the other American Baptists in our country (5,500 congregations, 1.3 million members).
Each American Baptist Church is atonomous. There is no outside governing body instructing what to believe or how to live out faith. Each church partners in varying degrees with the local (county), regional (state) and national American Baptist organizations. Some churches function in effect as independant congregations, others have close ties with other American Baptists. Our church falls somewhere between these two extremes.
